in the Brahmagiri hills in the Western Ghats of south India and gathers momentum as the land drops in elevation. It becomes larger as various tributaries feed into it on the way down. At Hogenakkal, the Kaveri, now a large river, drops and creates numerous waterfalls as the water cuts through the rocky terrain. In places the water falls as much as 20 m (66 ft) and is said to sound like continual thunder. Soon after the falls the river takes a southerly course and enters the
Mettur Stanley Reservoir. The river carries sediment which makes the downriver land fertile. The best season to visit is soon after the monsoons, when the river is in full spate. But some tourists prefer to visit during off-season to skip the crowd. The temperature in summer varies between 23–34 °C (73–93 °F) while during the winter it is still pleasant and ranges from 13–27 °C (55–81 °F)

                         Athirapally Waterfalls ... [Kerala]
Athirappally Waterfalls is located around 80 km from Cochin. The Athirappally Falls join the Chalakkudy river after plummeting down 80 ft. The cool spray that covers a large area near the falls makes Athirapally a scenic location. Athirapally is the land of rivers and forests and great waterfalls! It is also the largest waterfall in Kerala and is a major tourist attraction. The patch in Sholayar ranges so beautifully intertwined with lush green forest cover and sizzling silver cascades and located central to Cochin and River Nila (Bharathappuzha), is a treat for the eyes during the monsoon

Ooty ... The Queen Of Hills

About Ooty

Ooty is known as the Queen of Hill Stations. Located at an height of 2240 m above sea level, Ooty is all about . The beauty, green mountains, tree plantations, picturesque valleys, mountain train, giggling waterfalls, electrifying curves, scary tunnels and much much more. Moreover the tea estates with dense tea plantations too have been one of the reasons for Ooty to become so famous. The rambling grasslands of Ooty with the forest thickets add up to its beauty. The Nilgiri Mountain Railway is an additional attraction of Ooty.

Best time to visit Ooty

One of the Tea Estate
Ooty in India has always been the most selective options for tourists who found it as a great escapade for October heat which is prevalent in the Western parts of India. Ooty thus serves as one of the most desired hill stations in the south. Ooty is cold and pleasant during winters, and hence the best time to visit Ooty is from March to June. Though Ooty is amongst the favorites in summers, say March to early June given the vacation period; it goes without saying that Ooty is pretty much crowded then. For honeymoon couples who find Ooty among the top listed honeymoon spots in India, preferably visit Ooty in winters

Why couples prefer Ooty for lovemaking?

Couple At Pine Forest
There are many reasons why newly married couples are planning their honeymoon in Ooty these days. For one, it is extremely cheap (certainly cheaper than places like Shimla or Kashmir). Secondly, it is relatively unexplored and undiscovered, in contrast to the often-frequented hackneyed hill stations of north India! Ooty offers a freshness which is incomparable! It is smaller, less crowded, more serene and definitely more landscaped! So, it is emerging as one of the most favored honeymoon destinations.
